Robert H. (Bucky) Rogers, 89, of Livingston, N.J., went to heaven peacefully on Friday May 12, 2017. Son of the late John and Josephine (Allman) Rogers, he was born on February 20, 1928 and was raised in Nutley and Livingston, N.J. He was pre-deceased by his brother John Rogers and sister Annetta Altvater. A WWII Army veteran, he retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Bloomfield N.J. A member of the Federated Church of Livingston, Bob was an active member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 201 of Livingston, a member of the Old Guard...

Robert H. (Bucky) Rogers, 89, of Livingston, N.J., went to heaven peacefully on Friday May 12, 2017. Son of the late John and Josephine (Allman) Rogers, he was born on February 20, 1928 and was raised in Nutley and Livingston, N.J. He was pre-deceased by his brother John Rogers and sister Annetta Altvater. A WWII Army veteran, he retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Bloomfield N.J. A member of the Federated Church of Livingston, Bob was an active member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 201 of Livingston, a member of the Old Guard of Livingston and had been an active volunteer in many civic and social organizations, including Past President of The Kiwanis Club of Livingston.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Florence (nee Bevensee); Daughters, Jennifer Adkins and Roberta Roselle, their husbands Gary Adkins and Daniel Roselle, and four beloved grandchildren, Jon, Matthew, Danimarie and Michele.

Visitation will be at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E Mt. Pleasant Ave, Livingston N.J. on Tuesday, May 16 from 3 to 8:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 11 A.M. at the Federated Church of Livingston, 6 W. Mt. Pleasant Ave, Livingston, N.J. Donations may be made in his honor to The Livingston First Aid Squad or The Federated Church of Livingston.
